Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU) now provides chiropractic and acupuncture/oriental medicine services at California State University, Fullerton (Fullerton). The Student Health Center at Fullerton has been receiving these services from SCU since October 2007.
SCU practitioner Sivarama Prasad Vinjamury, LAc, MSAOM, offers acupuncture sessions on Fridays. In addition, SCU faculty member Brad Smith, DC, leads a team of interns that provides comprehensive chiropractic services to Fullerton students and employees on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
SCU Chief of Staff Michael Sackett, DC, MS, DABCO, talks about the opportunity for SCU to serve Fullerton, "Students at Fullerton are excited to have convenient access to both the chiropractic and acupuncture/oriental medicine services on their campus. In addition, being located in the Student Health Center at Fullerton is an excellent opportunity for SCU interns to work in a large multidisciplinary clinic that sees hundreds of patients every day. The SCU interns and clinical faculty have the chance to interact with all members of the Fullerton healthcare team at the center. They get significant opportunities for hands on experience at the largest Cal State University campus in California."
California State University, Fullerton was founded in 1957 and is part of the California State University System. Fullerton enrolls more than 37,000 students and offers 105 academic programs including a doctorate in education.
