Pi-Shop (Math Tutoring)

Pi-Shop (LACC's Mathematics Tutoring Center) opened officially in the fall of 1998. Pi-Shop has become crucial to the learning of science and mathematics and helping students to reach their academic goal, and the student success rates speak very highly for it. The vast majority of those who use the Pi-Shop pass their math classes, compared with a lower pass rate for those who take Math classes but don't use the Pi-Shop.

Pi-Shop is a state of-the-art Mathematics Tutoring Lab that has been recognized by the State Academic Senate with an honorable mention in its competition for the Exemplary Program Award.

Our Goals

By utilizing tutoring services at the Pi-Shop Math Center, where students collaborate with experienced tutors, they can achieve significant learning outcomes, including developing the skills to:

  1. Solve mathematical problems using appropriate techniques.
  2. Analyze and interpret the results with the use of technology.

Summer 2025 Schedule

We highly encourage you all to join our Pi-Shop tutoring service during the Summer 25 term. These services are available for anyone enrolled in a Summer Math class, regardless of level. We offer both in-person and online tutoring.
