This week concludes our events celebrating Black History. LACC honors the achievements, resilience, and cultural richness of the Black community. I hope to see you at our upcoming events this month.
LACC will once again be a Voting Center for the upcoming March elections. The Voting Center will be in the Student Union. The Early Voting Period will take place March 2-4 from 10am to 7pm and Election Day is March 5 from 7am to 8pm.

The CTE Spotlight Awards call for nominations is now open. These awards aim to recognize and celebrate outstanding individuals and organizations who have demonstrated exceptional achievements and contributions in Career Technical Education. The deadline to submit nomination is Monday, March 4th, 2024. Please look for the email in your mailbox for instructions on how to nominate someone.
Mark your calendar for the Inaugural Summit on March 13 and the investiture ceremony for President Dr. Amanuel Gebru which will take place on March 14th. Please RSVP to the links that were sent to faculty and staff.

This will be a moderated discussion with award winning producer Ira Rosen for students and community members to come together and learn more about what it takes to produce impactful, hard-hitting news. Open to the public, a $30 admission fee will be charged for non LACC Community members.
