David Turcotte, Career Counselor

A native of Long Beach CA, Mr. Turcotte attended Long Beach City College majoring in Applied Music and Theater before completing his B.S. in Business Administration. David obtained a Master's Degree of Science in School Counseling from Gwynedd-Mercy University in Philadelphia PA.

Prior to joining the LACC family, Mr. Turcotte worked at LaGuardia Community College in New York City, Los Angeles Pierce College, and Compton College. David specializes in career development, and has a strong background in technical education and Guided Pathways. In his spare time, David enjoys playing music, photography, and spending time with his two beautiful daughters.


Carolyn Darin, Career Counselor

Carolyn is a first-generation college student who started her education at a community college. She worked full-time while earning her bachelor’s degree and was a working parent while earning her master’s degree (Carolyn is a three-time CSU, Northridge alumna). Carolyn is also a career changer; she worked many years as an English professor before returning to school to become a counselor.

Carolyn would love to talk to you about turning your dreams into reality, helping you find your purpose, and working with you to create a clear plan to get from where you are now to where you want to be.

Carolyn enjoys travel, camping, hiking, and spoiling her pit bull rescue.
