CARE Program
The CARE Program is an extension of EOPS for single parents/head of household receiving TANF/CalWORKs who are pursuing their educational goals. Students in CARE acquire the education, skills, and resources to enhance their self-efficacy and personal development.

Our CARE Services
- CARE Counselor/Coordinator and support staff
- Academic, personal, and retention counseling
- Priority appointment with CARE counselor
- Mini counseling sessions
- Educational workshops
- University and Cultural field trips
- School supply kit
- Student parking permit (with proper verification)
- ASG Benefits (students with CARE issued parking permit only)
- Auto gas cards and grocery cards as available
- Meal credit
- Book Express Service
- Laptop loan program (limited availability on first come, first served basis)
CARE Eligibility
To be eligible for the CARE Program, a student must:
- Be an eligible full-time EOPS student with a 2.0 GPA (good standing).
- Be a single parent/head of household.
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Be a CalWORKs/cash aid recipient, or have a child who is receiving cash aid.
- Have at least one child under eighteen (18) years of age.
CARE Counseling Appointments
To meet with a counselor, you have the following options:
- We are available in person at the Student Services Building 3rd floor
- We can also be reached online through our EOPS lobby. You must be logged into your Cranium Cafe. You can chat with us Monday-Friday by going on Cranium Café and a front desk worker will assist you.
