TRIO SSS Eligibility & Application
Who is Eligible?
- Low-income and/or first-generation college students. (First-generation means neither parent obtained a Bachelor's Degree.)
- Disabled students who are also low-income.
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 semester units or completed a minimum of 9 semester units in the previous semester. (If you are an OSS student, you must be enrolled and/or completed a minimum of 6 units.)
- Interested in obtaining an Associate degree and transferring to a four-year university.
- Should have a GPA of 2.0 or higher if already attending college.
- Must be educationally disadvantaged or have academic need, according to federal guidelines.
How Can I Apply?
You can apply online by clicking on the link below or visit the TRIO SSS office in the Student Services Building (3rd Floor, Room 312).
We are accepting applications on a rolling basis, but only admit students as space permits. Therefore, please be patient during the application process.
What Can I Expect in the Application Process?
- Submit Application materials.
- Expect an email from the TRIO SSS office that will explain your application status.
- If accepted, you will be be invited to an orientation appointment.
- After orientation, you will need to complete your first Counseling Appointment with a TRIO Counselor.
