Environmental Studies is an interdisciplinary major that brings together social sciences and natural science to study environmental issues. The Environmental Studies Program at San Francisco State offers both BA and BS degrees. The BA has three emphases: Environmental Sustainability and Social Justice, The Urban Environment, or Humanities and the Environment. The BS degree is in Natural Resource Management and Conservation. This is a very activist, social justice and applied program that focuses on solutions.
