Scheduling Appointments

Beneath the photo for each Student Services representative there will be a set a contact buttons.

  • If the option is available, select "Schedule Meeting" from the contact options.
  • Then select the date and time you would like to meet.
  • In the subject line please include your Full Name, ID#, Major, and what the meeting is regarding

In order to find out if appointments are offered, please read the group descriptions within the Student Services Directory of each department to find out more information. Depending on the service you are seeking, the department will dictate if you can schedule an appointment or not.

You may also go directly to the department’s LACC website for the most updated information.

You are encouraged to check your device settings before your meeting begins.

At times, you will be asked to complete an intake form when booking your appointment. Please include your most updated information in the intake form so that our Student Services representative receiving that information can contact you correctly. You can also leave additional comments for your counselor to know how to best prepare for your appointment.

These can include:

  • Your full name
  • ID#
  • Major
  • What the meeting is regarding

You can check your upcoming appointments by going to the navigation bar on the left and selecting “Cranium Café” and then select “My Café Appointments.”

It will indicate what day and time your appointment is scheduled for, the reason for the appointment, and which counselor you are meeting with.

You will also receive an email confirmation of your appointment when it is first booked.

If you scheduled a phone appointment, a counselor will call you (possibly from an unrecognized number) at the time of your appointment. Please make sure to answer.

If you selected a video appointment, information on how to connect will be already in the confirmation email that you get as soon as you make the appointment or will be sent out the day of your appointment. Confirmation emails are sent to your student email unless you made a guest account not using your school email, where you should look into that email address for information regarding your meeting.

To cancel your appointment, please go to “My Café Appointments” on the navigation bar on the left and select the red “cancel” icon to cancel your appointment. You can also cancel your appointment from the email confirmation you received.

To reschedule your appointment, please refer to your email confirmation you received for instructions.

Video appointments on Cranium Café can be recorded. However, the student and counselor must agree and consent to the recording. You do not have to record your sessions. You will see an option in the Café that says “record” and when it is red, you are recording.

Your chats can also be saved in an Archive that you can access in the navigation bar on the left.
