Human Services Program
Human services is a multidisciplinary field focused on enhancing quality of life for individuals, families and communities through assessment, advocacy and resource coordination. Students develop skills in case management, community outreach, crisis intervention and program planning while studying areas such as housing instability, substance use, aging and disability services. These competencies prepare graduates for roles in nonprofit organizations, government agencies and healthcare settings as case managers, outreach specialists, program coordinators, policy analysts and peer support workers. Applying human services principles fosters resilience, promotes social equity and strengthens communities..
Employment of social and human service professionals is projected to grow 17% from 2019 to 2029, much faster than the average for all occupations
