Frequently Asked Questions

Go to www.laccbookstore.com

  1. Choose the TEXTBOOK tab from the menu.
  2. Choose your term from the dropdown menu - click GO
  3. Choose your Department (eg Math), Course (eg 270) and Section (eg. course ID/Instructor)
  4. Click GET YOUR BOOKS to view list of books for the course.
  5. You will need to edit the quantity you want to purchase (eg 1)
  6. Click Purchase - at this time you can choose another class by clicking CONTINUE SHOPPING or click  CHECKOUT
  7. Review purchase - quantities and titles - when Ready click CHECKOUT
  8. At this time you will need sign in or make an account
  9. Click CONTINUE TO SHIPPING INFO
    1. Fill in Name and address – look for errors – We are not responsible for packages sent to the address provided if you made an Error.
    2. Make sure to include Apartment #
  10. Choose Shipping method (eg shipping or pick up)
  11. Include Special instructions or notes for the store – keep in mind FEDEX does not call you when they arrive or follow specific instructions. (Disclaimer: we are not responsible for items once they are delivered by fedex so please make sure your drop off address is secure. If you are not sure please choose pick up or we can send to another campus for pick up). 
  12. Click CONTINUE TO PAYMENT INFO - If you have a voucher please still add a credit or debit card in case you do not have enough funds. We always charge vouchers first but cannot add a card later. If you do not have enough voucher funds and no card on file you will need to place a new order and add a card. 
  13. Verify totals, choose Payment method, and Enter Student ID (if you do AR Charge ID number goes in that box and Student ID box/ Verify Billing Address) 
  14. Click REVIEW YOUR ORDER
  15. Click PLACE MY ORDER

More Information About Purchasing Books

Go to www.laccbookstore.com

  1. to My Account (you may have to login)
  2. Go to ORDER HISTORY
  3. Click on the order number
  4. Status Types = CANCELLED, SHIPPED, ORDERED
    1. NOTE - status of SHIPPED means we have processed items on your order and they are either ready for pick up or have been shipped.
    2. Your order will show the Original order (what you put in the cart) and CURRENT ORDER which will show any adjustments like New to Used or physical to digital.

NO, we process orders in the order we get them so the oldest orders will be completed before new ones. By reordering you risk being charged multiple times for the same item. Please just follow up on your original order by emailing us at bookstore@lacitycollege.edu Be sure to put your order number in the Subject.

This happens when we:

  1. Have not received the book from the vendor, or
  2. Ran out of stock and are waiting for more.

As soon as we have more of the item in stock we will fill orders from oldest to newest.

This means the book you ordered has not arrived at the store yet. Your order will be processed for pick up or shipping as soon as we have it in stock.

If you chose pick up watch for an email from @email informing you that your order is ready for pick up. Don't forget to check your spam folder. 

If you chose FedEx shipping watch for an email from FedEx with your tracking information.

Go To Vitalsource.com

Click on redeem code. 

You will need to set up an account at  Vitalsource.com with the same email you used to purchase the content (the same as your laccbookstore.com login).

If you chose pick up watch for an email from @email or bookstore@lacitycollege.edu informing you that your order is ready. Don't forget to check your spam folder.

You can, but if you do not have enough funds on your voucher your order will be delayed. We will need to contact you and you may need to place a new order.

Yes, please email @email with your order number and student ID and inform us that you would like to do a change of payment, or come to the store with your receipts and Cub Card ID.

Go To Vitalsource.com

Click on redeem code. 

You will need to set up an account at  Vitalsource.com with the same email you used to purchase the content (the same as your laccbookstore.com login).

This item is a (PAC) Printed Access Code which can be purchased at the register in store or online at www.laccbookstore.com 

Please follow the instructions on the package or the instructions for redeeming digital content at Vitalsource.com 

  • Next go to login.cengage.com to redeem your code
    (If the sign in screen does not come up please try a different browser)
  • If you have problems redeeming your code at the Cengage site please set up a virtual meeting here. A Cengage support team member will assist you during their virtual office hours.

Unfortunately, no. The return deadlines are determined by the vendor return policy.

We will try to work with you if there are other extenuating circumstances.

The Cub Store is open to the public during normal operating hours.
If the Main Store is not open during these hours please check with the staff in the Hungry Cub Snack Shop right next door.

*Please note that the LACC Cub Store is not responsible if:

1. you provided the wrong address on your order. Please make sure your address is  updated before placing your order
2. your delivery address is not secure. If you have any concern please choose In Store Pick Up or make arrangements to pick up at another LACCD campus.

EOPS students choose EOPS VOUCHER from the check out options, you will be prompted if you need a credit card.

Non-EOPS VOUCHERS – please use a credit or debit card to process your order. In shipping instructions type the department you have a voucher with eg. VOC REHAB, VETERANS etc. We will process your order on your account and only charge you if you do not have enough funds on your voucher.

We do not have a Buy Back Program at this time. We are working to find another vendor partner for this procedure. 

DC - (dc) is Digital Content. When ordered you will have access at Vitalsource.com. These are only returnable for 14 days if not printed.

PAC - Printed Access Code - These are picked up at the register or shipped to you if ordered online

EAC - Email Access Code - These codes are emailed to you once ordered in store or online.
