APASS

The APASS Program at Los Angeles City College is dedicated to serving and supporting student success. Our mission is to provide academic, cultural, and personal support to help students thrive during their college journey. While we center on the experiences of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) students, our program and services are open to all LACC students.

Break It To Make It

Break It To Make It (BITMI) is a unique program that assists incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals successfully reintegrate into their communities and achieve long-term self-sufficiency through the arts, higher education, and rehabilitative services.

CalWORKS

CalWORKS is an innovative program that provides FREE workforce training, education, and childcare services for students receiving public assistance.

Career Center

The Career Center assists students in choosingchanging or confirming your career.

Dream Resource Center

The Dream Resource Center provides intentional academic/well-being support and resources to all LACC students, including undocumented and mixed-status students, so they may thrive and navigate higher education successfully.

EOPS

The EOPS Program makes available a number of support services such as priority registration, professional counseling, individualized & in-class tutoring and textbook assistance and much more.

First Year Experience

The First Year Experience (FYE) program is designed to help you be successful in your first year of college by providing a supportive, nurturing environment complete with educational and career guidance, so you may achieve your educational and career goals.

Guardian Scholars Program

The LACC Guardian Scholars Program (GSP) serves students who are current, former, or emancipated foster youth who are pursuing a path within higher education.

International Student Program

The International Student Program provides students with academic counseling and with immigration advisement / documentation necessary to maintain their legal status in the U.S.

MESA

MESA (Math, Engineering, Science Achievement) at LACC is a community for new and continuing STEM students. The program offers STEM Tutoring, Counseling, Transfer Support, Career Exploration in the STEM pathway, and access to STEM internships and research opportunities. 

Office Of Special Services

OSS offers academic advisement, counseling, assistive technology, adaptive equipment, exam accommodations, sign language interpreters, Braille transcription, learning disabilities assessment as well as other auxiliary aids and services for eligible students.

Ralph Bunche Scholars

The Ralph Bunche Scholars Program is committed to meeting the needs of academically motivated and intellectually curious students whose main purpose is to transfer to a four-year school.

Transfer Center

The Transfer Center assists students with the process of meeting the requirements to transfer to four-year colleges and universities.

TRIO / SSS

The Trio/SSS program assists low-income, first-generation, and/or disabled students by providing opportunities for academic advisement, mentoring, assistance with basic college requirements, and motivation to complete their post-secondary education.

Umoja Community

Umoja actively serves and promotes student success for all students through a curriculum and pedagogy responsive to the legacy of the African and African American Diasporas.

Upward Bound

The Upward BoundProgram serves high school students from low-income families in which neither parent holds a bachelors degree (first-generation potential-college student).

Veterans' Resource Center

The Veterans' Resource Center creates an encouraging environment by acknowledging, honoring, and addressing veterans’ unique needs, while helping them attain their educational goals.
